You can work offline on your own—leaving you time for, say, feeding the kids or sitting in meetings. This is called being realistic. But you're not alone--personal coaching is built into the process.

The advantage of working on all 6 pitches together is you can borrow or mix-and-match bits and pieces so that all the pitches tell a consistent story about your story.

Pitch Package Palooza is for any unagented author (aspiring or published, indie or traditional) with a completed, unpublished novel or nonfiction book (not memoir) who is in the early stages of formulating the words to describe and position their book for the publishing world and related publicity machines. Writers of all genres, ages, genders, nationalities, and backgrounds (writing in English) are welcome!

At the end of 12 weeks, you will understand the differences among and purposes of all six pitch packages. You will have a reasonably polished version of all six that you can confidently share with people who are not your mother or your passive-aggressive best friend.

• Weekly, private written feedback from me on your pitch drafts to keep you on track and get you to the finish line with all six pitches. 

• Two one-on-one, hour-long, face-time sessions, to be set up at our mutual convenience and discretion, depending on your progress.

• We will convene online together in real-time (Eastern U.S.) at the beginning, middle, and end of the course. (Participation is mandatory.) This is a chance to share questions and concerns, learn from one another, and celebrate progress. You’ll also pick up critical tips on pitching.

At the end…we CELEBRATE with an online PITCH PACKAGE PARTY! 

Expect to think, write, and revise intensively—and to meet deadlines so you don’t fall too far behind. This stuff is hard and you’ll need all the time in the course to get it done. Your first draft of a given pitch will surely not be your last.

You can try to write and polish all these pitches on your own. But experience shows that you’ll get better results faster if you work with a book coach and in conjunction with a small group of authors who share your goals.
